Rihanna seventeen Magazine photo shoot.

Seventeen  Mag recently revealed  some photos of Rih Rih for their August  issue. As I was looking at the photos the  multicolored   beads she was wearing caught my attention  .  They look like something that will be  made in Africa. I research a bit and this is what  I found . The beads are  made by Dannijio and cost about $595 US. Here is the description ''Rich in history and in beauty. These beads, dating back to the 1800s, were known as 'trade' and 'aggry' beads. According to the V&A Museum London, they formed an important element in early trade networks between Europe and Africa as they were made in Europe - particularly Venice, Bohemia and the Netherlands - and used in trade in Africa. The beads were popular as glassmaking was uncommon in Africa, making them unusual and precious. They were particularly valued and sought after in West Africa, where they were often used in the creation of high-status decorative art objects.   Any thoughts ?

  3. I know , even though I like it I'm no sure if I'm willing to spend 500 dollars on it

  4. Those beads look like standard sand beads made recently and hardly worth $500 plus. 6+ strands of vintage multicolored trade beads have a lower street value, too. Those nesting beads on Rihanna are super common.

  5. Edited to add: They could be antique or they could be recently made snake beads like these, strands for sale at $19.99.
