"Orleans Designs, a new london women’s wear and accessory label is proud to present its collection of African-inspired elegant silk dresses, as well as its colourful scarves. Hazel Aggrey-Orleans, the creative force behind the label has been in- spired by the cultural richness of her upbringing on West Africa’s tropical coastline and the urban expanse of London’s metropolitan mosaic. African fabrics are traditionally made of cotton or hand-woven silk, high- lighting the intricate native patterns.

Orleans Designs, however, has cleverly challenged this longstanding tradition by choosing delicate silk fab- rics to embody these prints, therby creating more contemporary garments with a greater sense of movement. Her 2010 Spring Summer COCO collection focuses on elegance and the unique fusion of colours, adding grace and sophistication to each piece. Why not loose yourself in her lemon tear-drop shift dress with the ruby red neckline, adding a touch of sparkle and glamour to a night out. Alterna- tively, allow for a more demure look with her classic white draped blouse matched up with the emerald green and fushia coloured skirt. Needless to say, there is still always room for her charcoal backless dress, bound to turn heads with that red zip detail.
